Even in Silence there is Emotion 06/07/2011
There is nothing better than silence to help a person appreciate the finer things in life. I was reading somewhere that the silent stillness of the mind can result in a deep meditative silence. Sometimes the mind will not let go and keeps coming back round to the busy state that will not let the individual be at peace with the world and with all that is happening round it. As I sit here looking out to sea and wondering where life is going to lead me next, I count my blessings for all the wonderful things that have happened to me in the few short years that I have existed. Short being the operative word here because our time on earth is but a tiny drop in the ocean compared to some of the great “Inanimate” objects that I have seen and been told about by my fellow travellers. It may seem contradictory but during my silences, I clear my mind and think back to some of the wondrous experiences of my life. (Silent thinking told you it was contradictory) My kids being born and growing into two beautiful women. Seeing the pyramids and ancient monuments of Egypt Driving in Cairo The red desert in Saudi Arabia which turns green for one day only when the rain falls, which is not very often. Dubai Airport from the roof of the flat that I lived in Deserted beeches During a recent visit to Greece, it was pointed out to me that the sides of the track leading down to the beech some 200 ft. below were lined at head height with strata of shells. Not just a few but layer upon layer. Thoughts turned to the realisation that this was once the sea bed maybe having been forced upwards during some ancient (I hate the word pre-historic but that’s another story) land and sea shift. The list is endless. So go ahead my friend and meditate in silence but do not block out the good things that are in your past, not dwell on them just as you will not dwell on the bad things. All I ask is each day find something to celebrate, especially the fact that you are alive to enjoy the celebration. We have no more and no less in our accounts than the person that you know that always appears to be in control, gets enough sleep each night, takes a walk in the park each lunch time, goes home on time etc.
So what are you doing differently that means that you always seem to be pushing late hours, skipping lunch, feeling tetchy, tired etc. to meet deadlines? Here are my ten top tips for you to mull over in the rare spare moments between crises. Relax away the troubles of the day. 10/21/2010
During one of my weekly classes in self relaxation, a woman approached me and thanked me for saving her up to 60 minutes per day. It appeared that she regularly meditated and 60 minutes was the time that it took her to get herself into a relaxed meditative state. The techniques that she had learned in the class helped her to achieve instant and deep relaxation of both mind and body. There are infinite possibilities of paths that can be taken by becoming deeply relaxed for a few minutes per day. • You could instruct a headache to “go away”? • How would you benefit from being able to leave the cares of the day behind as you enter a deeply relaxing sleep state? • Public speaking or just socialising can become easier. • Panicking at the thought of dentists, flying, or confined spaces become a thing of the past. • Improve your game of Golf, Tennis Football. • Passing exams and driving tests first time becomes the norm. There is a song featured in the musical “Cabaret”
Money makes the world go around the world go around the world go around Money makes the world go around It makes the world go 'round. But does it and what is Money? A wonderful book written by David R. Hamilton PhD. Having had the privilege to see David in action, I would recommend this book to anyone that is on a journey of physical and/or emotional self healing. A cover endorsement by Louise Hay says it all; “As a scientist who has embraced new consciousness, David has made a bridge that will be helpful to many people who are seeking to understand the connection between our body, our mind and our spiritual self” New Website for a New Year... 12/03/2009

What is Hypnotherapy?
Endorsed since 1950 by the American and British Medical Associations, Hypnotherapy can be described as and effective and speedy technique of Psychotherapy using Hypnosis to gain access to the client’s subconscious mind. This gives the ability to help the client to change programming and conditioning often gained during childhood, sometimes releasing memories for evaluation, thereby bringing about rapid and permanent change. It has been described as a state of altered consciousness – NOT a state of unconsciousness, because the client is fully aware of everything during the session and can recall everything afterwards. How long is a Peice of String? 10/02/2009
How often have you been asked this question, usually as a rhetorical reply to your own question?
“When will the report be ready?” Is often greeted the reply “How long etc Let us however, focus on the answer to an original question of, how long is a piece of string? The answer can depend on a person’s perception, interest and what is known as his or her model of the world. To a Quantum Physicist, A string is an object with a one-dimensional spatial extent. (1) Hence the answer is measured in micro meters To a string based musical instrument maker, “A string length is defined by the note that is to be produced” To an average parcel maker, the length is very rarely exact for the desired use and needs to be cut to length. This article is not for one moment intended to lead us down the path of “String length Theory”. However, what I aim to show is that whether it is the length of a piece of string or other objects and situations, it is a person’s perception of something that really matters. In my mind, a business plan is a living, breathing, dynamic part of the structure of any successful venture.
It identifies and documents many areas including our Objectives, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opposition, Price plan, Target market, Costs ,etc. Quite often, during the early start up days of a business, the emphasis is placed on creating a business plan which is seen as a mechanism for many early day activities. The bank manger needs to see one before a business account can be opened; the local business support organisation needs to see one before any support can be given. In 2002 I helped to put a plan together to enable one company to be considered for a grant of £50. I also had to put one together, in a different form to allow me to apply for a bank overdraft facility. Although they said, more or less the same thing, both of these plans had to be in a form that was acceptable to the organisation concerned. What I found amazing was the fact that neither plan allowed for ongoing management reporting to be carried out in a simple but effective manner. Simply reporting on a monthly basis of forecast sales and costs against actual sales and costs just did not enter into either proposal. | AuthorWritten by Bryn Jones.
